Hi junket,

Do you know more about this couple after the marriage?  Do you have them on any census that would give a birthplace for Frederick?  I was trying to find them, but I don't see them on the 1881 census, nor could I find any records of children for them in the Ontario birth records.

If we knew where they were living, Frederick's death certificate MIGHT give some more information...

In the 1881 census Frederick is living in Hamilton, Wentworth Co.  His wife is given as Agnes, b. 1845 England.  (Could be a mistranscription of Nancy??)  They have a daughter named Alice, age 7... (from familysearch.org)

 ;D

Hi MJP and Karen,

Thank you,

I must apologise, for my spelling of ONTARIO,

I am not dyslexic, just blind.

I am almost sure, this is who I am looking for.

I have found Silas and Pru. as Inch and  Jack , prior to this, so am not surprised, by Tuck.

All the info. I had prior to your help, I included, in my posting.

thanks

You just need to go and modify he original query...and change the subject line to correct the spelling!

Fredrick Cooper in OSHAWA, east Whitby, Brock
CONNER & COLTSON'S DIRECTORY 1869-7O

There is a Henry and also a Mrs. Cooper, widow on here...so must be Emma and maybe a brother?

If you like to see the census data
http://www.collectionscanada.ca/archivianet/02010803_e.html
Silas Inch was  in Whitby East on the 1871 census
Frederick is in Dundas Wentworth,North, but no sign of Emma, unless
she is with Henry?

Ugh...I just did another 1871 search and got another Frederick Cooper
who was a machinist...age 21...born England...so he might have been
the one on the directory  :P  Haha...time well wasted  :P

Hi JJ,

thank you for your help, I am very interested, in Frederick's birthplace.  another reply, gave it as Canada, yours England.

I want to find out more about Frederick, all I had originally, was his name and date of marriage.

I am trying to establish, if he was born in England and if he emigrated to Canada,( possibly when the Inch family did ?)

I am also trying to establish, if a  ROBERT COOPER staying with Philippa MAY ( nee INCH ), in 1861, in Blisland, Cornwall, England, is in anyway related to this Frederick COOPER.

I shall now, try and search the site, you so kindly gave me.

thanks again
