Anyway, got her now.

So, she left a young family.

Do you know when her hubby died - the chap with the fish & chip shop??

ANyway we now know Lydia senior was born around 1888. I dont have access to the 1891 or 1901 censuses, but someone else might be able to find the Vickery family with young Lydia there.

Looked 1887-1889 for Lydia Vickery's birth.
Only one in those years is JAS 1889 in Sunderland, ref 10a 551.
I could widen the years, or try other spellings of Vickery

Think you will have to wait for census findings to see where she gives place of birth as, before any further action

Must go now and get on with life! (Is there life other than rootschat!)

I think the one born Sunderland dies as a child in 1893 South Shields ...

Seems to tie in with the following birth: Lydia Vickery Sep 1886 West Ham 4a 152

Hi i've found two births... i do have access to the census's i've just been feeling very blonde lately when using them!

These were the two closest i could find. But hopefully when i get my next email through, i should be able to solve this part.

Just backtracking a bit. The other child, Alfred, whose birth we have not found. I am wondering if Alfred senior may have remarried when Lydia senior died and he was left with a collection of small children, and then Alfred was actually a child of this second marriage. Therefore would not have mother's maiden name as Vickery.

Do you know anymore about Alfred senior other than he ran a fish n chip shop? Like approx when did he die, or did he have a second wife?

All i got on extra info was the father is definatly called alfred john moody. He wasorig from southampton but not entirely sure if born there and he also definatly had a second wife but unfortunatly i have no idea who yet or any kind of date of when they married.
