Hi Kerry

I can't help you directly but...

I have discovered, through looking for a marriage in 1808, that Seal Library has some of the Edenbridge parish records on microfilm.

I rang them on 01732 762510 (email seallibrary at hotmail.com 'at' used in place of '@' to prevent spam)and they were very helpful, sent me a copy of the marriage entry and made no charge!

Maybe they can help you out.

Hi again Kerry

I know that your enquiry was some time ago now, but how did you get on with Seal library?

The reason I ask is that I need some more information but if they don't have baptisms on fiche or film there's no point in asking them and I can save myself time and a phone call.

Would appreciate a reply when convenient.

Hi Dawn

In the end I never got around to contacting them and this one is still on the back burner.  The trouble is there is always another family that comes to the forefront and demands investigating.  I really must learn to finish one before I start another one.

Perhaps this year...

I now have the baptism for Elizabeth Heath but if anyone is able to help with a marriage before 1827 to a Mr Drewitt I would be grateful.  Elizabeth married William Terry in 1827 Crawley as Mrs Drewitt, widow but I have been unable to trace her first marriage.

As she appears baptised 1807 the marriage ought to be about 1825 to 1827?

Just going to bring to attention again

Went to Sevenoaks Library today and trawled through the Edenbridge records, no sign of a marriage with a Drewitt there or in Westerham.

Anyone have sight of any other local PRs?

This one has been solved thanks to findmypast and their Kent PRs.  Married in Sundridge 1827 and they were bachelor and spinster.
