O'Carroll- Burial 1945 Longstowe CAMBS
« on: Saturday 30 September 06 19:58 BST (UK) »
My Father Joseph O'Carroll was buried in Longstowe Churchyard in 1945.  The grave is unmarked so I am unable to identify the place.
Can anyone help with access to Church records and tell me where his remains may be.

Many thanks for any help at all. I live in Hampshire and so not easy to visit.

Hi
Your best bet might be to try and get in touch with the local vicar, they sometimes have a layout of the graveyards or cemetries, or failing that get in touch with Cambridge Record Office and they might be able to put you on the right track. I know when I wanted to find my Great Gradfathers grave there was no marking, but the local vicar at the church had a layout of the graves, and speaking to my mum and her sister was able to find it, by looking at the plan.
