Can anybody please help me find a CHARLES LAVENDER born about 1879 in New Malden, Surrey. His father's name is JASON and his mother is LAVINIA. thanks

There's a Charles Lavender aged 12 born in New Malden with his uncle in Denham, Bucks on the 1891. Uncle is Nathan Lavender aged 40 born Ruislip. Also in the household is the housekeeper Ann Ward. Ref is RG12/1133 Folio 33 Pg 22.

No sign of a Lavinia Lavneder but could this be the family in Kingston, Surrey:

Trish I'd a look at that 1901 as you were writing your reply. Thought Ann's birthplace was Croydon, Surrey and although the surname was transcribed Bator thought it looked more like Bates.

Jason Lavender probably married Ellen Martin Sep Qtr 1879 Kingston

In 1894 Dec Qtr Oxbridge, there is a marriage for Jason Lavender to Martha Baldwin or Linda Caroline Bryant.

Looking at 1881, there are also Henry and William? It may be a completely different family to the one found by gtd - or

Could be - I'll have another look - seems to be an interesting family - if only one of them - think I'll look for a couple of Jasons in earlier census

Actually the 1891 Jason is given as age 32 - In 1881 the father of Charles was 32,a haybinder born Ruislip  so there must be 2 of them - just as well - probably cousins

I stand corrected    looks like Bales or Bates - probably Croyden - seems to have been written over something else.

Sorry about that - just as well there are lots of checkers around

Hi Everyone,
Thank you all so much for the information. I have found four JASON'S so far in the family. I know one of them was married to a Lavinia, but he was born in 1846. The other one was married to an Ellen, he was born about 1860. They are all related so this has been a great help.
