Hi Little Nell, Downside and Zeb
Thanks for your interest.
I have tried all of your tips.
The files are ' THERE ' OK but every time I try to open one of the 6 files that have / show a fair amount of data I get the message in window showing :
BKPERSON
You have choosen to download a file from this location,
BKPERSON.DT5 from C:\My Documents\BK5\Dadswork
what would you ike to do with this file ?
1. Open this file from its current location ?
2. . file to disc ?
When you select 'Open file ' you get the File Download window
This takes you nowhere
When you select ' Save file to disc ' this shows you:
( C: )
File name BKPERSON
Save as type DT5 File
when you click Save you get this message :
C:\BKPERSON already exists -- Do you want to make a copy ?
---
Thats as far as you get and the same keeps repeating if you try and try.
Yesterday I got in touch with John Steed at Brothers Keeper. He replied very promptly, twice.
First he told me to do as some of you suggested. Second time he asked me send over the five files to him in an attachment by email. He said he may be able to repair the files.
Presently on my old comp I have the unregistered version of the BK5 program which downloaded from the Web a few days ago and my original registered program that I bought in June 2000.
In my new comp I have installed the registered program from the CD that I have of June 2000.
I shall keep you informed and Thanks.
