thanks for all your hard work i think your last reply could be the one i am looking for which would have my dad at 1 week old.
i dont have a computer at home i come into work early to use the internet here. t
the info especially with census refs is going to be extremely helpful.

Hi margj. There is a William Banks (of Wigan) in my family tree unfortunatley not related to you from the details you've given. However 'W. Banks' funeral directors is still in business in Orrell. There is also another funeral dirctors 'R.Banks and Sons' nearby - whether or not there are family connections I don't know - they don't appear to be related to me.

I am helping a new member contact margj, because they had not replied to the topic there was no other way for me to check if there email notifications were going through to them hence my reply ;)

1911 Census has William Banks at 25 Queen Terrace, Far Moor, Orrell. Siblings include Richard , Jane and Eli, as well as others and parents.
