Davies dilemma
« on: Wednesday 11 October 06 16:41 BST (UK) »
Could anyone help me with an issue I'm trying to resolve.

Need some help in solving a dilemma.

I have a Maria Elizabeth Evans in my family which I believe was b.1858 living in Battery Row (according to the 1881 census) Parish of Greenfield.

She married Samuel George Didsbury (b.1861 Birkenhead, Ches, Eng) in 1881 from what I gather and had a son Samuel George Didsbury b.1890. (my Great Grandfather)

I'm trying to discover what her mother's Maiden name is. According to the census her parents are Thomas Evans and Mary Evans. Going through the BMD's there seem to be two Thomas Evans that married a Mary each one Mary Owens the other Mary Ann Davies around 1853.

Any help would be gratefully received

Gaz

thanks Cath, I'm noticing that little things like a relation being present is just the type of info that sets you on the right course.

Thanks again
