West Monkton marriage c 1825

Does anyone have access to the parish registers for West Monkton or surrounding areas from around 1825.

I am looking for a marriage between Peter MOCKRIDGE of Pitminster and Grace AVIS of West Monkton. Their first child was born in W. Monkton in 1828
Or indeed any Mockridge please.

Peter was born 1794 and Grace 1798.

I don't have access to the parish registers Carol but, according to The Somerset and Dorset FHS transcription, a Peter Mockridge married Grace Harris in West Monkton 2 October 1825.

OHHhhhhhhhh........ Harris Hmmmmm???
All this time I'd been under the impression she was Avis.
Thanks for that Heather- how do I check it?
I spose I could persuade my hubby to take me to Taunton record office next summer.LOL

Never simple is it? 

I suppose the transcription could be wrong, but at least you have a date now to look for when you get to those records!
