These are the children showing for them on IGI, including Christina's marriage entry:

1. CATHERINE MILLER  Birth: 08 OCT 1855 Wick, Caithness, Scotland
2. DONALD ALEXANDER MACKENZIE MILLER Birth: 27 JUN 1858 Wick, Caithness, Scotland
3. WILLIAM MILLER Birth: 05 NOV 1841 Christening: 12 NOV 1841 Olrig, Caithness, Scotland
4. MURDOCH MILLER Birth: 05 NOV 1841 Christening: 12 NOV 1841 Olrig, Caithness, Scotland
5. CHRISTINA MILLER Marriage: 29 DEC 1865 Manse, Wick, Caithness, Scotland

You're in luck! The 1855 birth cert for Catherine is the best year of all to look at BMD certs. That first year of official reg. in Scotland resulted in entries running over to two pages including a wealth of additional info. It should hopefully contain where/when parents married, how many children they had (alive/deceased) and where they were from/ages. One to go for!

Regards.

The Banns for their marriage look to have been read in two places:

1. ANDREW MILLAR  Marriage: 05 FEB 1841 Dunnet, Caithness, Scotland
2. ANDREW MILLER Marriage: 05 FEB 1841 Olrig, Caithness, Scotland

Likely to reflect where each was living prior to their marriage.

I don't know if you know this but FreeCen have excellent coverage of Caithness, www.freecen.org.uk.

1841 - Coverage 100%

1851 - Coverage 92%:

Andrew's entry which shows him and family - MILLER Andrew, Head, 41,       Operative Mason, where born Caithness - Wick, census place Wick

1861 - Coverage 55%:

No sign of Andrew, probably not yet transcribed. Scotlands People would be where to look for the family from the 1861 Census onwards.

Monica,
many thanks for all the info it is really appreciated.
One or two points however. I take it that the twins William and Murdoch were born in 1861 and not 1841 as you say. This is not meant as a criticism but took it to be a typing error. Will look at the 41/41 censuses and also Scotlands People to see what I can glean
Again, thank you very much and will be in touch

Ps
any chance that you could let me have your email address as I find that easier?

The twin's birth/christening entries are actual extracts from the Old Parish Registers, not submitted entries. Look to have been their first children after their marriage in February that year.

In the 1851 Census, only Murdoch is showing as the oldest child (maybe William had died?).

I'll send you a PM with my email.
