Saron chapel, Llanbadarn Fawr, Aberystwyth

Does anyone know if Saron Chapel, In Llanbadarn fawr, Aberystwyth still exists, as I would like to visit it.

According to Genuki it does and that info is dated 2006. I visited Llanbadarn last month, but it was to go to St Padarn's. If you do want to go to the churchyard, I recommend crampons - it's on a 1 in 4 hill! It's also quite overgrown in some of the older parts. I remember passing 2 chapels but don't remember the denominations.

my little joke rather failed! Crampons are the spikes mountaineers use to give some grip on ice. If you're arriving by train, look to the north just before you get to Aberystwyth and you'll see a hill with graves that are in terraces. Has to be the steepest graveyard I've ever seen. Have a nice trip, it's a lovely area.

There is a chapel opposit the pub (across main road) which is next to St padarns church I think it could be saron but unsure i was there last weekend and remember thinking there is a chapel there.
Not sure if that is any help. :(

Just a thought are you sure Saron is in llanbadarn fawr? the reason i ask is when I went last week I was looking for capel seion methoadist church Llanbadarn fawr, stupid now when I think of it Capel Seion Meth church is in Capel Seion Llanbadarbn Fawr. Capel seion is a village in the district of Llanbadarn fawr. Have you checked on a map. sorry to go on.

My grandfather was christened in saron chapel, Llanbadarn Fawr, so I assume it is there.  I don't know wales at all, and didn't know my grandfather, and you know what's it's like you want to go and have a look at the area our ancestors came from.    Are you from this area.?

don't live Aberystwyth live in Cardiff hence the name but have very strong connection with Aberystwyth.
Tell me how do you know your grandfather was chr -in Saron did you find it on line? I looked on IGI batch numbers for Cariganshire don't see saron.
 Please explain so I can find it to help
