I think that's the same with me! the charge monthly is £14.99 for 4gb so thats not too bad, and it does say  speeds UP TO 8mb which I think is the "get out of everything" clause! my isp is not directly BT tho.
Generally I'm not too unhappy, as long as the darn thing stays connected, sometimes it just drops off ! and then keeps on dropping off! but at the present time all is well so I'm not complaining too much

The last one I can think of right now is having a poor level of service with a poor internet provider - from zeb

I dont know why you lot are are moaning about speed My speed is only 38 kbps at the highest it is 42 thats for about half an hour a year. with beeb.net I am on dial up,ihad been thinking about changing my provider for a long time but the speed was ok till lastweek.I cant even get into the speedtest websites given i just get a blank pages as usual ,Would changing My I.P.help

Re the speed tests - these are for Broadband only. For dial up with the 'normal' 56k modem, you can usually find your speed by hovering your pointer over the modem icon in the Task Bar. I rarely got more than 30 when I was on dial up.
