Looking For Keaney's And Morans
« on: Monday 30 October 06 06:35 GMT (UK) »
Hi, i have recently become really interested in my family history, but because we lost contact i don't seem to be getting too far.

My grandad was called Matthew Keaney i found his birth cert and found out he was born in Waterdale, his mum was Mary Keaney (Maiden name Moran) and his father was John Keaney.

My Grandad was born in 1931 then died in 1995 in Bolton, Lancashire, UK (Where i am from) and as far as i know there was 13 of them.
I know John was a farmer.

My grandad moved over to Wales I'm presuming which is where he married my Nana  in 1960 in Shotton North Wales, They had 5 children.

If anyone could help me trace back a bit further it would be greatly appreciated.

Ye his father was Thomas Keaney.
Mary Morans Father was called Patrick Moran and he married Margaret Dempsey, don't know what year.
