well  by  the  certificate  the  writing  is  not  the best  or  worst I  have seen  but  it could definately  be John Mass
not Moss

now John William Schultz was born 1896 Eucha  to  Handrick Thomas Schultz  and Mary Alfreda Collins  reg no 3031

and  he  died  in 1955 aged 58  in melbourne  reg no 2397


let  us  know  if  you  need  any siblings  for  him  etc

it  is  possible  that  elsie remarried  after  he died

Thank you so much, your help has been endless and much appreciated.

As for Elsie remarrying I don't think she did as she was still known as Schultz when my grandfather died in 1980.

The name for John is Moss as this is what all his children were known as even tho they were born Maass.
The name change may have come about due to the war they may not have wanted to be recognized as German so anglicized their last name
All the descendants from John Emil Maass in my family are now Moss.

If it is no bother I would love Handricks siblings if there are any.

Last but not least I apologize to the moderator for the cert image i put up I should have read the rules more throughly, I didn't realize I had put too much of the image up as it was only part of the certif.

parents John Collins  mother  not  known

Looking on the marriage certif john Schultz was 24 in 1920 so birth year would be 1896 with the info you gave me for Clarence H Schultz had birth year 1896 so looks like john Schultz was a twin also Clarence was a witness at the marriage sorry only just looked at it again it does also state John Schultz place of birth was Echuca mothers name is listed as Mary Alfreda Smith not sure about the death for Mary Alfreda you put up as fathers last name is Collins so will have to look into that one.

also  my apologies  clarence  was  born  in 1893 sorry  to do  that  to  you  notes  are  jumbled  also  on both the  boys birth  mother  is  mary alreda collins  not  smith
