davey39,
Two problem angles...
a) Youll/Yule folk missing from C1901.
With Jane Oliver Youll baptised in Cresswell 27 May 1900, living at the time at High Thorn , Ellington, one would think that the chances are the family would be there for the 1901 census, 10/11 months later.
The 1901 Enumerator writes his description of District No 31, to include Ellington, Linton, Cresswell and High Thorn (he called it Lighthorn and Lighthorne, and it was seemingly a set of farm dwellings) and other places.
There are 15 pages for Ellington (mostly Linton Colliery), 7 for Cresswell, and one page for a bit of Ellington and Highthorn.
These pages run from 4837-156-1 to 4837-167-23.
The page that covers Highthorn is the last one 4837-167-23.
I have, in the old-fashioned way, gone though each of these 23 pages, and there are no Youlls (or variations) or Lukes or Violets. At/in Highthorn there are 18 people in 3 family sets.
Your Youlls must have moved on soon after the baptism !?
b) On both FreeBMD and Ancestry civil BMD registration sites their is no sign of the birth registration of your g/m.
Parents had 42 days grace to register the birth of their children, with the appropriate DIstrict Register Office, that covered the place where the child was born.
If your g/m was born in Ellington/Cresswell area... Morpeth DRO covered these areas.
If she were born on 27 April 1900, they probably would have registered her before 30 th June 1900, the end of the June
( or Second) Quarter of 1900, at Morpeth DRO ( the DRO had sub-district offices at Bedlington, Morpeth itself and Ashington. Ashington probably the nearest to Ellington/Cresswell)
But I can see no trace of the birth registration of a Jane Oliver Youll/etc in the 1899-1901 period, with Morpeth DRO
( or any other in Northumberland)
Now clutching at straws !
