Can anyone help please!

I have had some information from the Aberdeen Family History Society, about a Lauchlan Mceachren, he is my GGGGGrandfather.
The only information they have is as follows.

Year 1816  McEachren (36) age 23;  ft 103; page 387
Soldiers index 89-104 Artillery 1806- 1838.

Can anyone advice where I go from here? .
