Can anyone help?

Samuel Dean was married in Ovenden, Halifax on 13th Jan 1739 to a Sara Robertshaw. The only other information I found was that he was born about 1714 hopefully in the same area.

I am trying to find his father but for the past six months I've come to a full stop. Any ideas how to proceed from here?
