excellent my emilis . unfortunatly there s nothing left, bar the well for the manor of which our grazing cattle once fell into. an old stone which the original gate would of hung off and some low walling which i presumes from the old garden. i am however interested to know what the house was made out of as we still have the reminents of the old brick yard which presume the house and sheep buildings were made of. the reason i gather it was knocked down was due to the prevoius farmer plus 1 built our current house without planning and got the option to either knock the new distaceful 1960's build don or knock down the manor, what a crying shame as this house has the constuctive quality of an african mud hut!

Hello Stephen

I would also be interested in a photo of Clixby Manor House as my ancestor (Christopher Topper) was an agricultural labourer working there and, according to the 1841 census living in 'Tenements in the Manor House'.

If you can't attach it to an email my address is:
Christine Wileman
98 Leeming Lane North
Mansfield Woodhouse
Mansfield
Notts  NG19 9EP

I would willingly send you stamps to reimburse postage.

Thanks, Christine

Hello Christine - I've tried attaching a drawing of the house from 1840 - I don't know if it's visible to you? Best wishes, Stephen
