Hi Nancy.
My grandmother was Doris and was born 16th May 1910. As well as Cressy , who i once met, there was Gladys, Ivy, Hilda, Ethel, Edith  and Florence,  i am sure there were others but cannot remember at the moment. I did not know there was a brother.I vaguely recall mention of Marshal Attwater,a family story was that he was connected to the Salvation Army, i have no idea if there is any truth in this.
Doris married Alfred John Stevens in Feburuary 1933 in Dartford Kent. They had 2 daughters, my mother Joy , and my aunt Shirley Ann. Neither of them can shed any light on Effield or Richard Atwater.
I am intrigued as to where the middle name HART may have come from.
Thank you for having taken the time to help me.

Hi Sue,

I would be happy to let you know what I know about the family tree.  I have traced back 4 more generations from Effield.  It is a very large amount of information.

If you would like to share information with more detail I would suggest that you send me a personal message through Rootschat with your email details.  If you click on my name (atth2o), it will take you to a details page.  At the bottom of the page you will see highlighted in blue "Send this rootschatter a person message".  Here you can send me a private message that will not be posted to the general public.

hello Tracy
My Grandmother was also a Helman and was a sister of May. Her name was Doris, i would love to know anything that you know about her, as she never spoke of her parents Effield and Henry. I do recollect meeting some of her sisters when i was a child (a long time ago).
I look forward to hearing from you.
