But shouldn't Andre's mother be Lucy COOK if it is the same lady? and Lucy would be 47! poor lady.  Birth indexes normally give the maiden name of the mother.  And one wouldn't expect her to be DAVEY in the death notice if she had married twice more!!  are you sure you have one person?

Do you have the death certificate?

;D have applied for lucy davey's death certificate, her maiden name was cook, she married thomas henderson davie in 1916, married again in 1922 to frederick cork had another son in robert in 1923, in 1930 lucy davey had andre brian davey, i do not know who his father was, there is an arthur listed on her funeral notice , but he would not be a davey, i do not know if she married this arthur or who he was,  ??? ???

Let us know how you go with Lucy's death certificate  ;D
We are all keen to know how it turns out.  Was her surname DAVEY when she died?  It seems a very strange case - maybe she married another Davey!

i have lucy davey's death certificate, it stated widow of arthur , nothing more , i was wondering whether lucy remarried an arthur called davey if so when, andre brian davey was born in 1929 not 1930 as i thought, so maybe there is a record somewhere of lucy davey marrying an arthur, before 1929
