Hi
One of the brothers, CHARLES VINCENT CASEY b. Gympie enlisted in WW1 and died of bronchitis in 1917.
On his attestation page you can see his father is T. W . Casey.
Later in the digitised document, he leaves his possessions to his mother  CATHERINE CASEY.
We see the parent's home address in Milton and see that Charles was a miner.  There is other interesting information too.

Hi Again,
CYRIL CASEY enlisted too and left out the SCARSFIELD name originally in his details.
However, later in his digi copy, the name appears with other important particulars for your search including addresses [ same as Charles Vincent] and a letter from Cyril's son PETER asking for his father's war history so he can join an ex serviceman's club'
Catherine 's maiden name is clearly contained with in the files and letters from other family members too.
ENJOY!
Sue

PS Don't forget to look up CLIFFORD HENRY
He is there too wth distinction!!

Hi, You'll be getting sick of me BUT
CLIFFORD HENRY CASEY is buried alone at Lutwyche Cemetery. Date 24/10/1946 at the age of 59
He is in the ANZAC section

THOMAS WILLIAM and CATHERINE are at Toowong together.
He was buried 30/11/1936 aged 90
She on 2/7/1935 aged 76

[Not certain about these 2.  Maybe he just married late to younger lass]

Hello  there

sue  great minds  etc  had a  look at the  archives saw  the toowong address and  thought  brisbane cemetery search  and  bingo  just  as I was going  to  post  the red  warning  came  up and you  had allready  done it! excellent

he would  have been approx 35  and she  22  makes me think second marriage  but  I  didnt find  any  other children born  thomas william casey on  the  indexs could have migrated with  them though
perhaps  one  of the others  may  find deaths  with  the father of thomas william casey
of course all just supposition

regards jenn  from a damn warm day  in  the north

Thanks everyone for your help. I am just trying to catch up with all the info now!

I can definately confirm that my 'Violet Edith' is in fact Ada Sophia Violet Crow. I have just found her death record in Broken Hill which cleared up why I couldn't find it under 'Violet Edith'. It's amazing because my grandfather (her son) doesn't even know her by that name. It is also strange as she used Violet Edith on her marriage certificate. I will have to ask the family where she would of got the Edith from and keep you posted!

Cheers

Hi

I just went to www.naa.gov.au and read about Charles, Cyril and Clifford (thanks Sue). All I can say is WOW. I am going to Gallipoli for Anzac Day this year and now I know that I had all these family members fighting in the war it will make it that bit more special. If anyone is interested in any photos of anything at Gallipoli drop me a line and I will see what I can do. ( Ihave to repay you all somehow!!)

Thanks Again

Cheers

hello  there Andrea

Just a  thought  and  one of  the others  will know  perhaps  they (sic)  couldnt  fit  the edith  on  the  index??

I would  think that to get any further back  with the casey side will be their wedding certificate  maybe  your family  member you mentioned did  get it?

also  I have a great  uncle  who  is  Lone Pine  so  I  for  one  will  be  dropping  you  a  line

It  is my  greatest hope to get there  in 2015
