Hi Jason

There is an obituary for William Tyzack 1793-1885 in The Adelaide Observer, 12 December 1885, page 29, col. e

Title:  Death of an Old Colonist

In Brief: Arrived in South Australia in 1840. Assisted with the erection of the first mill at Hindmarsh.  Died at Semaphore, aged 92 years.

It adds that additional family members are mentioned in this article.

If you give them the details they will look it up for you and send a copy.  Brilliant service.

Thanks for all the information Twinkleberry. I did have some of it already but I did not have the information about William being a tailor. I thought that the ship building part of the family came from him, but it looks like it was from the McFarlane side (from this and other information I have gathered).

Thanks Cazay for the other info, I did have the link to requesting info from the library so I thingk that I will have to make use of that service and get a copy.

Cheers, Jason.
