Foster family of Liverpool
« on: Friday 17 November 06 22:44 GMT (UK) »
John-architect and surveyor,  William secretary of the dock trustees, Thomas-town clerk of Liverpool and Richard Foster etc are brothers and I am most interested in Richard as I cannot find his birth. His father's will -1827- reserves assets until he is 25 but this conflicts with his birth being in 1797 as given in the 1851 census. The Times report of 1836 says that Thomas was buried in a family vault at Walton. Does this to refer to the parish church of St Marys ?
The church was bombed in 1941 ? Did the vault survive ?
Are there any B. M D for this church from abt 1797- 1859 and please could anyone do a look-up?
Does anyone know any more about Richard's grandfather John Foster-joiner from Liverpool?
