hello  thee

I see James  and ellen were married  in 1861  and  their first  child was born  in 1865  by  the  indexs

so  she could  have been  born  interstate  or the birth  just  not recorded

by  her marriage  she  was born  in 1864

also  Ellen  Tranter remarriage  gives  her father as Hugh O'reilly  in 1888

regards jenn

Hi
Just been reading with interest this thread.  I have a Charles Edwin Tranter marrying into one of my wife's lines.  I only have sketchy details:
Born Knowsley Victoria 21 Sept 1880.  He married Catherine Ann Manton (unknown date) first child James Lewis born 1906 at Heathcote Victoria.

Is there a chance that this Tranter is connected to the family being discussed hear?
