I have recently inherited my cousin's research records (Roma died in April 06), her family up the maternal side was Brown.   Her grandfather was a brother to your Minnie.   Notice on a Family Record Sheet, Minnie has been written in after the others with c1882 after her name.   The record also shows marriage and death.  On the very bottom of page lists three children. Tom, John and Ila.   
  Cannot give you any details of Minnies birth, but would suggest you contact the Broken Hill Family History Group, they may tell you where the Baptism records for White Cliffs and Wilcannia are.  You most likely will find her birth date that way.
Roma has some information on Scutchings, Murchland and Brown family.
