I’m researching my partners family tree. Her name is Quana Sylvia Brown. Her mother Lyndall, brother David and sister Andrea. Her grandmother Catherine and brother unknown. Last names all Hoy’s. German background.
Now I’ve been told that my partner gets her middle name from her great granny called Sylvia.

Check the names of the children on Arthur and Sylvia's headstone.

An obituary but called a biography of Sylvia's grandfather who died in 1906 which mentions his father who was born in Silesia, Germanya and emigrated to South Australia in 1841.

I can’t see a first marriage, or Jack. There is this though, with correct father, or father is Sylvia’s grandfather, from a fling.  1892 Gotthilef Hugh father Christian Gotthilef KLICHE mother Louise GARRAT

I also can’t see birth of Christian Jnr (Sylvia’s father) who, if is the one who died in 1946, would have been born 1870: Dudley Park KLICHE Christian Gotthilf 76y 1946

Sylvia’s grandfather’s second wife re-married in 1910 MULLER.
