There is a marriage in Sculcoates in 1867 which could tie in with Anne Elizabeths birth

Frederic Thomas Ellerton

Others on page

John Hunter
Rachel Brocklebank
Sarah Acey

Ive had a look at a couple of cencus and possibly found John Hunter married to a Rachel that would fit the above so I wonder if he married Sarah Acey

Hi Joe

You have been busy!  I have been searching freebmd and found the death of a Sarah Ellerton aged 23 which, as you say, fits in with Alice's birth.  I am presuming that Sarah probably died in childbirth.  As you had found Anne with a William and Margaret Wilson I thought they might be Frederick's in-laws so I have been looking for a marriage of a Sarah Wilson with Frederick but had no luck.  Marriage of Frederic and Sarah Acey is certainly worth further investigation so thank you very much indeed for that lead.

Thank you also for 1851 census information regarding Frederick's parents - that was very helpful.  I can now do some digging in that direction.

I can't thank you enought for all your help.  It is very much appreciated.  I can see quite a few late nights coming up!!

With best wishes.

Janet

Doooh!!!!  Only realised it myself when I reread my posts - could kick myself for wasting my own time.  :-[  It's not as if you'd put the word ELLERTON  in small print!!!  I'm a dozy so'n so at times.

Thank you again Joe for all your help.

Regards.

Janet

Hi Janet,
I've just registered with Rootschat and came across your 2006 postings about the Ellerton families. Please refer to my ELLERTON website for full details of your tree back to 1744:
http://ellerton.hostcell.net/Trees/Matthew1744.htm

You could also join the "Ellerton forum" that I set up to contact other Ellerton researhcers!

Regards, Bob (now living in Turkey)

Hello Bob

Thank you for contacting me.  I will certainly check out your website on the Ellerton family.  You've obviously spent a lot of time on your research having got back to 1744.

Hope you're enjoying life in Turkey!

With many thanks.

Kind regards.

Janet

Hi Janet,
I should have pointed out that I am not (as yet) part of the "Matthew 1744 tree". My own "John 1630 tree" goes back to circa 1630. Both John and Matthew come from the same part of Yorkshire, but so far no positive links between the families have been made.

I have contacted, or should I say been contacted by, dozens of people connected to the Matthew 1744 tree, hence the extensive work done on this tree. I would be happy to put you in contact with those who have close links to your branch.

And yes, I love Turkey!!

Regards, Bob
