details of my late father's r.a.f. details

I am trying to find out if anyone knew my father - his name was Thomas William Matthews d.o.b. 06/10/1915 based at RAF Kirkham.
I don't have his number but would love to hear from anyone who knew him please - hopeful - he met and married my mother Ivy Rose Proctor and when he came out of the RAF he went back to his job which was a Taylor at Hector Powe in London.
He died in 1961 in Kirkintilloch Scotland when my Mother Sister and I moved to Hull
