James Henderson & Helen Raeburn

Hi,
I'm trying to trace the births, parentage and marriage  of James Henderson and Helen Raeburn who had a son named George born 2/11/1764 who was christened 4/11/1764 at Haddington. I've tried the familysearch.org with no results.

If you're not the submitter then it might be beneficial to pursue finding who was and possibly learn more about the source of the data you have on George.  A parent search of the IGI shows that there are 2 children to James and Helen but both are submitted entries.

Not sure if this will work but I received the info on a submission this way......go to familysearch.com website and find the form for optaining photocopies and IGI sources....hopefully this link will get you right there

Note on the second page there is a section for submissions from 1970 to present.  This is the area you need to complete.  From an IGI parent search you can pull up the two submitted names I gave you above.  You'll see that the page states on it:   "Form submitted by a member of the LDS Church. The form lists the submitter's name and address and may include source information. The address may be outdated. Details vary. To find the form, you must know the batch and sheet number.  "
     
This is the batch number and sheet number from the bottom of that page:

Not sure where you're located but this may not be the best method if you're in the UK.  I'm USA based so no prob with faxing my order in and using a credit card.

Yes I see what you mean-however as I live in England, it won't work for me.

Hmmmm....I suggest you visit or call your nearest Family History Library and see what advice they might be able to give you.  Surely there must be a way to obtain the information from England.....I just don't know it though....

There is a baptism for a Thomas Henderson with these parents in Aberlady.

Thomas born 30 Jul bapt 5 Aug 1759

If you can get to an LDS Family History Centre the film number for these records is 1067793.

Haddington records are on film 1067800.
