Hi

The school is still in existence.  If they don't have the records they'll know where they are.

I have just received a charming letter from the archivist at the school with lots of personal details and stories about my ancestors [Hemmens / Nigh] who were resident in the school grounds during the 1800s.

I must admit to being pessimistic when I first contacted the school but I am constantly surprised at how willing people are to help.
