Hi Bean, I have my information in family history programme (including photo's and scans of documents) plus i keep hardcopies in binders. I have 8 main binders one each for my great grandparents which contains all my confirmed relatives, and a couple of binders contain odds and sods.
i also use a filing cabinet for maybe's and to store information on the area's that they lived in.
Of the several family history programmes i use Legacy is my main one and you can download it free.

And they have a very good user group which can be found here.

The only problem i have is keeping track of scraps of paper with my jottings on them  ;)

Hi,

The best way really is to use a Genealogy program of some kind,  they are engineered to perform the tasks you will find yourself needing as you progress into your family history.

On this thread you will find one of the recent discussions about Gen software:

Good Luck,

Bean,

It needn't cost a lot either,  there are freebies and trials out there too.
