1871 census look up request - Morison
« on: Thursday 28 December 06 11:35 GMT (UK) »
Has anyone access to the 1871 census for Falkirk?   I am interested in Alexander Morison (born 1795 in Burntisland) and his wife Helen Garnoch born 1800 in Burntisland.

In the 1861 census they are located in Chapel Lane, Falkirk.
Alexander was a retired sup/inland revenue.

I would be interested in any information regarding Alexander and Helen.
Thanks, marp

Hi marp

I could not find Alexander on the 1871 - reason was that he died:

5 Feb 1871, Alexander Morison, married to Helen Garnock, Burntisland, Fife, aged 76. His parents were George Morison, ship master (dec) and Margaret, m.s. Leslie (dec). Cause of death - general debility. Informant - John Morison, son

I'll check on Helen in Fife in the 1871.
