Hi,
Ann Oseneth Dudley was her birth name, we have this from the family Bible, we have no birth certificate. her parents were Richard Dudley baptised January 1st 1833, Schoolmaster and Ann[Butter] Dudley baptised February 7th. 1829,Sewing Mistress. I would not know if she got married. This is all the info I have, hope it helps . Eric

Is Ann's father Richard, the same Richard mentioned in another of your threads? http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,126714.0.html

I'm just curious about Ann's middle name of Oseneth.  Is it clearly written as such in the family bible?  I Googled the name, and the results were zero!!!!!!!

Can you just check that isn't 1823, which would fit with the 1851, and if he was born in 1833 that would make him 16 when daughter Ann was born.  Not impossible I know, but rare.

I don't know why I didn't do this first :D

From FreeBMD:

Deaths December Quarter 1849
Ann Asenath Dudley
District: Bridgnorth
Volume: 17
Page: 23

Died in infancy.....that's sad :'(

I guess that solves the problem ;)

Hi
Thank you very much for your great effort, I did'nt make it any easier by pressing the wrong key and making the date wrong, My sincere apologies, and once more my sincere thanks.
This querie came about because of where my G.G.Grandmother was living at the time of her death and I could not find a connection. I think we'll draw a line under it. Many thanks. Eric.

Hello eric

You are welcome :) and no need to apologise...we all make mistakes.

I enjoy helping other people, it's all part of the fun of family history.

Glad the mystery of Ann is sorted ;)
