Hi

Nice to be in contact with another Diggle descendant. Sorry, not one of yours and a bit infuriating. I have been looking into my Diggles for ages with a good head start from my auntie. I’m not related but the annoying thing is mine have been so close and I’ve seen Moreton Diggles so often to discount. Mine are in Lancashire but mostly Catholic and also some in Australia

However I’ll look at our old notes and search results and see if I have anything relevant

Thanks for the response.

As luck would have it, my second cousin did a DNA test and discovered other second cousins in Australia (Melbourne region) and this has put us in touch with my grandfather's second family which he had after absconding over there! They had been looking for a history of their grandfather before he arrived in Australia. Both ends of the story are now joined, amazingly.

Seems like quite a lot of Diggles end up down under.
