Hi Darcy

Thanks very much.

I can never remember in the 1841 census did they round up or down t the nearest 5.

I don't suppose you could look at the 61,71 census please.  I'm hoping he married.

Thanks

Paul

Sorry Smudger,

I haven't been on the site for a few days. I'll do the lookups for you now,

The ages were rounded down on the 1841 census.

No luck in finding the Robert Ward c 1831 on the 1861 census.

The only entries I can see for born Croxton Kerrial are -

Robert Ward aged 77 years
Robert Ward aged 21 years, wife Mary Ann 21, son Thomas 1.

If you think there is any connection I can post the full details.

I'll have a look at 1871.

The younger Robert has gained an extra 3 years by 1871. I'll give you the full entry just in case it's useful -

1971 Census  Croxton Kerrial  Leicestershire

Robert Ward, head, 34, Ag Lab, Croxton
Mary A, wife, 32, Little Bytham Lincs
John T, son, 11, Farm servant, Little Bytham Lincs
Susanne, dau, 7, Croxton
Sarah E dau, 5, Croxton
Catherine, dau, 3, Croxton
Joseph, son, 7 months, Croxton

RG10/3356
Folio: 10
Page: 13

I can't see the Robert Ward born c1830.
