Brighton 1851 look up
« on: Friday 19 November 04 03:47 GMT (UK) »
I came across 2 deaths in  an LDS film. These names are of interest to me,
Matthew Temple died at Brighton, third quart. 1848
William Temple died at Brighton third quart. of 1848
I wonder if this family appears in  the Census of 1851. I do not believe it is a common Brighton name. I have spent years trying to find the Temples of Bridport who drop into a black hole about 1825.I wonder if they relocated to Brighton.
          Thanks in advance,  Kathleen

Hi Paula

Thats a good question?

Have just looked on HO107/ 1647 which is part of Brighton - several Temple surnames listed.

Jane Temple, Mother in Law, Wid, 68, Laundress, born Poynes

Harry Tempel 24, Plasterer and Wife Elizabeth 20 with family from Poynes

Thomas Tempel, 46, Carpenter and wife Mary aged 44 and family from Coombs
