wonder if anyone can help me please trying to locate a family
the person I am looking for is Elizabeth Jane Huckstep I have it that she was born in peasmarsh sussex in 1846  trying to find out her family details  mother father siblings.
Elizabeth married a Richard Joseph Back in march quater of 1871 
would love to find out the rest of her family before she married as she is my partners  great great grandmother

Elizabeth is not on the 1871 as a Huckstep, but there is a family with a son born 1852 in Peasmarsh that could give some clues

They are living in Smarden Kent in 1871

Sarah Huckstep 56  Catsfield, Sussex, England Head
But noe were born around Elizabeths period in Peasmarsh

The District of Rye where she married includes Peasmarsh

Hi Sylvia,
Had a look on the Sussex Marriage Index which only goes up to the 1840's to see whats what.  Came up with the following.
68 marriages recorded for the name HUCKSTEP between 1562-1845.  Mostly in East Sussex.  Peasmarsh has 2 female marriages 1688 & 1697.  Rye has 4, 1803, 1808, 1813, 1814.  The rest are scattered over E. Sussex with no obvious concentration.
Good idea if you get hold of Elizabethh's birth certificate, that way you'll know for sure who her parents were and you can work backwards.  Or if some kind soul can have a look on an 1851 or 1861 census you'll know that way,

yes I know I can get her birth cert BUT when I contacted them for a copy they said it will take between 6 - 8 weeks due to the tv programe every one is asking for copies and as it is the last link in this family (i think ) I just wanted to get the tree finished  perhaps someone has the
1851 1861 census and may be kind enough to look it up for me

I may be kicking on an open door but census information is no substitute for the actual certificates. A census will not tell you a date of birth nor will it tell you a wife's maiden name. I cannot see any way in which your original query can be answered:

 I admit you may find from a census  sibling's names and rough ages.
