Tank Farm

This is extremely vague I know, but does anyone know of the existence of a Tank Farm in the mid to late 1880's.  Possibly in the Birchgrove area near Swansea or maybe even Neath.

Try an address search on both the 1881 census at www.ancestry.co.uk and on www.1901censusonline.com.

It'll give ideas for locations if nothing else.

Tank Farm was the oil refinery depot at Llandarcy, between Neath and Swansea.  It was not a farm as such but an area of land holding lots of storage tanks.  It is now being redeveloped as a new housing estate.
