Hi everyone, thanks for the wonderful responses to my posting.  I am aware that WW2 records are not at the NA and the link provided by Arfur gives me the address to apply for them, I am not sure how much they charge, but it will be worth finding out what she did, all I know is that at some point she was stationed in Aldershot.

As regards the hair I am not so lucky, mine is so straight, it wont even curl with a curler!  :)

Romilly, how exciting, I wish I was immersed in WW1 records at the NA, I also have those to go through - I have never visited the NA so there's something to think about!  :)
