WILLIAM HENRY HEALE b1832 Disappearance.
« on: Wednesday 10 January 07 19:59 GMT (UK) »
Hi Everyone,
My last record of William Henry Heale is on the 1851C,as an App' Cabinet Maker aged 18 and living with family in Barnstaple,I can't pin down any record of him after this date in Census,Marriage or Death.By 1871 the family are using Hele and no luck even with this spelling.
Any help greatfully received.
Thanks  Bernie

I can't thank you all enough for your suggestions, FamilySearch.org : WILLIAM HENRY HEALE b' 26th Apr' 1832 in Saint Mary Magdalene,Woolich,Kent and Christening 13th May 1832,St Mary Magdalene,Woolich,Kent,England.
1841 Census there living with the Underhays in Stoke Damerel,Devonport and lists family as all born in County, which is wrong as his Sister,Mother and Grandmother are Cornish his Father b 1799 in Ugborough,Devon.Between the 1841 Census and 1851 census his Father William H Heale had gone from being a Sergeant in the North Devon Malitia to a Greenwich Pensioner.
1851 C' Barnstaple:
William Heale  51 Greenwich Pensioner born in Ugborough Devon.
Ruth        "      42      Wife                          "    in Wllcove Cornwall.
William H  "     18      Son Cabinet Maker App' born in Woolich Kent.
Ruth A      "     17      Dau' Milliner                        "   in Willcove Cornwall.
George F  "       4      Son  Scholar                       "   in Barnstaple Devon.
All disappear bar George F 1861 Census living in Stoke Damerel,Devon.
1871 Census all back in Stoke Damerel and still missing the above William.
There are a number of William Heale's marrying in the 1850s in Devon including 1 in 1853 Barnstaple  :-\ .
As a last resort I could get GRO too do a search ££££££££ ??? .
Thanks Again  Bernie

this could be a possible:

1861
RG 9/1398 fol 105 p 22

William H HELE  28 assistant  b 1833
living in St Mary Arches , Exeter

the only problem with this William is that he says he was born in Plymouth  :(
