PS

One thing that I Forgot to mention was the possible meeting up places.

This should be fairly central, undercover and with refreshment facilities at hand. Apart from Central and Queen Street Stations - not all that inspiring but both have the necessary attributes - there are the Buchannan Street Galleries and Princes Square Galleries (small shopping malls) . Further out is the Peoples Palace.

Any other suggestions for meeting up welcome. Allowing for numbers mentioned above.

My initial thread title is a bit unweildy and I will re-name it for clarity.

ooooooooo Gaget a tough one!! It is all about personal taste  :o

When I have worked up there we spent most nights in Lauders Bar (off Sauchihall Street) and some student bar (name escapes me) I was the oldest there I hasten to add.

I will make some enquiries with some Glaswegian colleagues and se if I can get the SP on a few hostelries that maybe suitable

All sounds very good Gadget, when inquiring for prices there are normally discounts for groups of people, sometimes you only have to ask and there is so much more....

The Itinerary for Manchester was quite packed, in real life we did not get everthing done and not in the right order. The day evolved around the people who attended as we had numbers we could keep in contact with everyone who was running late etc...

I've just asked someone not too far from me now - where is the best place to go in Glasgow for a night out?

The answer was Edinburgh?
