Ooooo! I dunno, it don't look like an a to me, more like an e, I think Jemerson.  Study the a, then look at the name, it's not as curly as the a.

However, is that a real last name?  Could it be Jaimerson? I have not heard that name before.   I am trying to think like a person who lived in the US listening to a person with a Scottish brogue saying the last name.
