Cryers of Cawood, Census - COMPLETED WITH THANKS

Hello,

Today I went to the Borthwick to look for the Harper family, the Rider family & the Cryer family.

Using census information I received on a post yesterday I was able to put the Harper family into some sort of order (there are still some floating about, refusing to fit into any place!!)

The names I found for the Cryer family all first arrived in Cawood, in 1815.  Some of them arrived in the village just to be recorded in the Burials (so I don't know the place of origin) and they won't be on census details so I haven't recorded them here.

The names I would like to find on any of the census's are:

William Cryer, born in 1816, so his age in 1841 would be 25, in 1851 it would be 35 & in 1861 it would be 45.

His mothers name was Elizabeth Cryer but I have no age, place of birth details for her.

Also there was a Mary Cryer (no details, such as age or place of birth) who also had an illegitamate daughter called Mary Cryer Born in 1815 who later changed her name to Mary Ryder Cryer. Mary Ryder Cryer's name won't be on a census.

I would also like census details of John Ryther (no age, but put a Leeds potter down for one childs Christening.  Born about 1795.

Ann Ryther born about 1796.  Died in 1864.

June Rider Born 1823
Charles Ryther born 1825
Edward Rider Born 1830 Elizabeth Ryder born 1833
Hannah Rider born 1835 Ann Ryther born 1838
All born in Cawood.
The name changes from Ryther to Rider to Ryder with each child.

I hope I haven't overloaded you with information ( I was once told to give all the information I had to make it easier to find & I think I go a little mad now)

I also found the christening of Nancy Ann Cryer, May 31st 1795 in Ryther.  Her father was John Cryer.

I can't find John on the 1871, neither can i find a death record for him between 1861 and 1871

Thanks for all the information.  I shall start to look for the Cryer family in Ryther & the surrounding district.  I shall be going back to the Borthwick in a few weeks and I now have somewhere to concentrate my new search.
