Hi

I have thanked Trish by email but would like to publicly acknowledge her kindness.

The photos are wonderful. Have already emailed them to other members of the family.  ;D  ;D

The MI has solved an identity problem - my husband's gggg grandfather was Captain John KELLY not William KELLY - no wonder I couldn't find him in the 77th Regiment records.

Best wishes
Cando

Hi Trish -

Further info has come to light about the second KELLY grave.

I don't know if their brother William is in this grave
William Philip Francis KELLY died 5 Jan 1881 aged 77 years of Farnham House, Finglas.

Grave No 10    15 Dec 1851   69- MI  SW

This is the exact info given to me - I hope it makes sense to you.

Interred in the grave is Hugh DAVENPORT d. 15 Dec 1851 and William Phillip Frances KELLY d. 5 Jan 1881.  There may be others.

This grave was not purchased outright so may have been re-used.

Please only look for it if you happen to be in that particular area looking for 'your boys' hiding out in family plots ;D

Your photographs have certainly started 'the ball rolling'.  I could hardly believe my good fortune when lots of new family info came  in the mail, exactly the same day your photos arrived  ;D  Meant to be ;)

Many thanks

Hi
I have to drop something over to Mount Jerome for another Rootschatter, so I will look for this when I'm over there again.

Hi Trish

Am wondering if you have an opportunity to visit Mt Jerome 'photographing your boys that hide out in family graves' ;D

I would imagine that you haven't been able to locate the other Kelly grave.  I really wasn't sure if it was still there. :(

Cheers for now

Cando, I completely forgot about this, sorry.

I was over there leaving something on a grave for someone and had a nagging idea I was supposed to do something else, but I forgot.

I'll get over there at some stage soon. Apologies.

Hi Trish

No apology required.  I have lots of senior moments ;D  There is no rush at all.  I am just so grateful that you have offered to help me.   :-*

Hiya Dublin1850,

I don't suppose there are any Belfast members of the armed forces buried at Mount Jerome. If there are, and you have the time available, could you photograph the graves and post the pictures on Belfast Forum as we're attempting to get as much information about people from Belfast on to that website. If there are people from Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester or Newcastle on Tyne let me know about them.

Many thanks.

Chris
