I have noticed that my posts number has stayed the same,
even though I have posted several replies on different threads.

This has never happened before.

I just posted on the lighter side - and no change - Shall see if this one updates - before the post I was 3865 - which clearly indicates I spend way toooo long online

Edit: so I got to 3866, which is interesting as I think there are posts around saying the lighter side does add to totals

I had a similar situation yesterday when I posted on the lighter side and my post numbers stayed the same, would be intererested to know what is happening. I thought at the time that it was just me

If I don't give it away soon, I may turn into one in the future and I don't know how to say it.

I think the totally off topic posts don't count and lighter side posts (a recent change) no longer count in your number of posts. We will need to get an answer from Trystan or others "in charge" of Rootschat.
