Albert Edward OLSEN and descendants from HULL

I have found a Fodelesbok entry for an Albert Edward Olsen born 1874 (christened 09/09/1874) in Gothenburg whose parents are Carl Edward and Carolina Olsen. Could this be him?

I am sorry to say that this Albert Edward died 2 months after his birth. The father's surname was Brandqvist.

Is it possible to see Alberts' Merchant Navy records?

Hi Ian,

Just emailed the records to you. Looking through my records, I have found a 1911 census return for a Charles Olsen b. 1875 Sundsvall residing in Walker on Tyne with his family. I also have him on the 1901 census listed as an Able Seaman at sea on a ship. Unfortunately the name of the ship is blank.

Do you have a tree on Ancestry? I have found a couple of trees on Ancestry which I presume are correct.
The 1911 census for Albert has his family as:

I presume this is your Albert?
If this is your Albert it states that he was born 1881.


Also, what connection do you have with Charles Olsen. Do you think they are related?

Unfortunately the name of the ship is blank.

The ship's name was SS Linares from Newcastle with Nr: 88731
