would someone please look up william john not sure of wifes name but he had a son james john born 1829 ?his son would be about 12 or 10 in the 1841 census . james john was born in pembrokeshire i know this much. thankyou

my aunt gave me the names and birthdates and where they were born but i think she has a few mistakes in it as she had james john born in july 1831 but he would have been born in 1829 according to the 1851 census. i know that this is the family because james and martha had a daughter margaret, they also had two more children james and william before they emigrated to hobart town in 1954. my aunt also had a record of there marriage being on the 28th feb 1849 I am not sure if she has the certificate or not. What I really wanted to find out is about is james john s father william and if james had any other siblings could you lease look in the 1841 census if you have access to it. Thankyou for your help it is a great help .Now I know a bit more of the family tree. Boy can it be frustrating. My aunt only has the basics on some of them so Iam delving a bit deeper.

Census ages are not always accurate .John is a popular surname.If your Aunt has the marriage cert what is James Johns address on it  and what is his Father Williams Occupation?.More details the better will look in 1841 then.

will do that. I know they left from Liverpool on the 10th november 1854 and arrived Hobart Town 19th Febuary 1855. They were on the barque Chatham I got that information of a website regarding australian shipping. They had three children with them at the time. Margaret William and James. Margaret being 5 years of age and william being 3 years of age and James being 1 year of age.  I will see how i go.  J ames Johns occupation was stated as a miner Martha Medlicot his wifes occupation was a Farm hand.  Thanks again.

have found a lady who is related to me, her gg grandfather is also james john and martha medlicott but she doesn`t have info on william either only that he was born in pembrokeshire in 1810. Her cousin is a geneoligist so you would think they would have the info. She is contacting her cousin to she if she has gotten any further into the tree. James John was definitly born in pembrokeshire so someone  has written it  wrong somewhere down the line . I don`t know if just Williams birth year will help .I still haven`t contacted other aunt as she is still very ill.
