Surname Interests - Hertford / Hertford Heath
« on: Wednesday 31 January 07 00:18 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

I would like to get any information with regards to the following surnames from the Hertford / Hertford Heath area;

(My fathers side - Reginald Brian PORTER)

PORTER (Hertford Heath)
COX (Hertford Heath)
ANDERTON (Hertford Heath)
MEDCALF (Hertford)
JARMAN (REDBOURNE / ST ALBANS)

My mothers side ( Hazel Marion PORTER nee GOODSON/TUCK)

TUCK (EATON)

My immediate family emigrated to Brisbane, Australia in 1973.

I currently have a wealth of information regarding the MEDCALF name if anyone is interested.

Cheers
Laurie Porter

PS I was born in Hertford Heath and still live nearby if you need any local information. Happy to help!

Someone mention my name  ;D

Hi Linda and Laurie,

Thanks to noticing Laurie's post Linda. Laurie and I were in contact about 12 months ago but I haven't heard from him in a while - some people think that work comes before Family history  ::) ;D

Laurie - nice to see you online again (and still searching for the Medcalf family) I'm still at a very solid brickwall in the late 1700 with my Medcalf's and haven't moved in years - so all the best of luck in the world.

Give me a call if I can help in any way

Di
