my eldest sister's husband ken was in the Royal Marines from 1969 until 1977...40 commando......my late father was in the merchant navy during the second world war and served on the Russian Convoys to Murmansk.

Hello Ellen - What a lovely photo of you with your parents. I too was one of those only chicks !

Pentio - I know you like Uncle G's photos. He was indeed a man of many parts. Here he is in fishing mode (on the left) with some mates. When he came to NZ he was renowned for the beautiful trout fishing-rods he made.

The second photo I can only think is of a gentleman learning how to cast - what do you think ?
