DAVIES FAMILY, WORTHEN.
« on: Monday 05 February 07 17:14 GMT (UK) »
Can any one please help me , I'm trying to trace the Davies family at Worthen in the late 1700's
They had two children maybe more, a son called Aeron born 1789 and a further son called Edward born 1792 or there abouts.
Any help would be appreciated, Many thanks, Eric.

You've got some more Davies relations to check out!!!!!!!

Ann ,
Sorry for my rather late reply to the above, a member of my family must have read your reply and I overlooked it.
I believe you have done a great job tracing my roots , but I cannot fit in the last bit . Edward Davies 59 the lead miner and family. Edwards wifes name was Elizabeth, they had a son William, his age should have been around 17 years old in 1851. I have little background information on William.
Edward Davies was previously a shopkeeper in Llandrinio.I believe later he was maybe a miller.
Once more very many thanks. Eric.

I can check this family out again for you, but before I do, can you let me know approximate years of birth for Edward and wife Elizabeth please?

Jan,
Thanks for your prompt reply, This is the imformation I have at present which I believe to be reasonably accurate, Edward Davies born circ 1792, [place of birth not known] Elizabeth his wife[maiden name unknown]  born Worthen, [she may have been a millers daughter, pure speculation] Three sons from baptism records, Edward George Davies, baptised August 9th 1829, Llandrinio. Thomas Davies, baptised February 20th 1831, Llandrinio. Thomas Davies born 1834 [ I'm not sure where I got this] I know of no other siblings, but there could possibly be others older or younger children. It would be extremly interesting to find some information prior to 1829 when the first son I have data about. Once more very many thanksfor the the help you have given me ,todate, Kind regards, Eric.
